Do you have a drug and alcohol testing program?

Our drug and alcohol testing program has been created to protect our customers, the public, and our employees. This program is intended to comply with all applicable state and federal regulations governing workplace anti-drug and alcohol abuse programs in the transportation industry.

Do you offer large event or convention transportation?

We support events of all sizes. We are your perfect solution to provide transportation services for your concert, festival, convention, or tournament. Please give us a click or call to discuss your event’s specific needs.

Do you own and operate your own buses or are you a broker?

We are proud to say that National Express operates many established brands, and owns and operates all of its own buses. When you book a trip with us, rest assured there are no third parties involved.

May I get proof of insurance?

Yes you may. As one of the nation’s largest school bus operators, all of our buses are fully insured.

Are parking fees and tolls included?

Please know that bus drivers do not carry cash for parking or tolls, these expenses are the responsibility of the customer.

What if my trip runs longer than planned?

Your trip is priced based on the details provided at the time of booking. Should your trip be extended, you will be responsible for the additional time.

Do your buses have air-conditioning?

Many of our buses are air-conditioned. Please specify this requirement when making booking enquiry to verify availability for your trip.

How much does it cost to charter a bus?

Can I bring alcohol on your bus?

Want to take the party on the road? For an additional fee groups of legal drinking age may bring and consume alcohol while aboard. Only single serving, non-glass containers are permitted.

Are your buses wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we do have lift equipped buses available for charter. Our lift equipped buses are operated by professional staff, trained on the proper use of the lift and securing of wheelchairs.

Can I decorate the bus?

You certainly can. The general rules for decorating your non-school related charter, be careful to not block the vision of the driver, keeping the front windshield and mirrors clear. When booking your trip, please share your desire to decorate the bus interior with our charter coordinator. We recommend that you allow extra time prior to your desired departure time to allow for decorating, and time at the end of your trip for cleanup. Please remember to use blue painters tape to protect the bus interior. On the day of your event, check with your driver when they arrive to ensure the decoration meet all safety requirements.

Do you only charter yellow school buses?

As one of the nation’s largest student transportation providers we have a vast fleet of school buses across the US and Canada. In select markets our fleet varies, and may include Motor Coaches, Activity Buses, and other vehicles. Looking for something in particular, just give us a click or call.

What is your COVID policy?

To ensure the safety of our employees and passengers we have implemented the following COVID-19 related policies. Customers must agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and ordinances.
  • Keep the first row of seats open at all times.
  • Wear masks at all times when on-board the vehicle, due to federal requirements.
Our vehicles are disinfected two times per day where the vehicle is in service performing split shift work and once per day where the vehicle is in service on a single shift. In addition, we provide anti-bacterial cleaning supplies to drivers to enable them to spot-clean any surface that becomes contaminated during the trip. If we learn a driver or passenger on a bus has tested positive for the virus, we will take that vehicle out of service for a minimum of 24 hours prior to disinfecting it and putting it back into service.

What is your cancellation policy?

We know that your plans can change unexpectedly, so we want to take the worry out of booking your trip. We offer one of the most flexible cancellation policies in the industry.  Generally, allowing cancellation or changes to your booking without charge up to five (5) business days prior to the date of the trip.  Please inquire when scheduling your trip.

What is a typical school bus capacity?

The typical school bus will accommodate 48 adult passengers (2 per seat) or 72 children (2nd grade or younger sitting 3 per seat). Is a large bus just too big for the operating area, we have small buses too, which typically seat 10 adults or 20 children (2nd grade or younger). Lift equipped buses have varying capacities of both wheelchairs and ambulatory passengers.
